Over the Christmas break, we headed North and temporarily relocated our nest to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. The Sunshine Coast is such a fantastic place for relaxing, exercising, spending time with family and friends, shopping for local arts and crafts, and of course, almost best of all, eating! It was a "Griswalds" drive up from Melbourne, with a convoy of 3 cars full of family, kids, bikes and dogs. We come up here a lot and one of our favourite places to spend time is The Eumundi Markets at Eumundi (bottom middle of the map below) about 15 mins drive south west of Noosa.

The Eumundi Markets are such a great place for shopping for locally made products and also for enjoying live music and eating local produce. David plays music at Eumundi regularly and the response is always so positive, people are very relaxed and happy up here!

Cool dresses at this stall...

This was a relatively quiet day, it's always a bustling place on market day.

Anyone for a German Sausage??

There are soooo many fantastic local artists and crafters to meet at this market, it never fails to amaze me. Here are some examples of products handmade on the Sunshine Coast, which can be purchased at

After a hard morning shopping, we like to finish off our Eumundi visit with some fresh calamari from The Calamari Man, some delicious paella from The Paella Fella or any of the other delicious snacks from the yummy food stalls. What a satisfying way to spend a morning.
