Amsterdam is one of our favourite cities (you can read about one of our visits here) and the few times we have been there we have been lucky enough to stumble upon some fantastic arts & craft markets. At one of those markets we met Leonie Naessens (you can check out a range of her groovy, hand-crafted, retro-inspired accessories here) and recently Leonie was kind enough to tell us about The Sunday Market in Amsterdam.
The Sunday Market is a monthly fashion, art & design market in Amsterdam which offers a platform for designers, artists and creatives to deal directly with the public and at the same time provides the public with an accessible way to come into contact with unique design.
At the Sunday Market you will find a selection of ceramics, fashion, vintage jewellery, accessories, artwork, children's products, organic produce and of course great food and drink. Stall holders include established artists and also new talents of the Rietveld Academy and the Design Academy of Amsterdam.
The Sunday Market is held at Cultuurpark, Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and is open between midday and 6pm on the first Sunday of every month. So next time you are in the beautiful city, make sure you pop along to The Sunday Market to check it out! Thanks to Lisa for the photos and information.
